Date: Tuesday, 29 September 2026
Time: 15:15 (for 15:30 start)
Location: Kapital, Sheffield
14 Wellington Street, Sheffield, S1 4HD
Join Sheffield fbe for a walking tour of Sheffield City Centre, hearing about the history of the buildings and streets, as well as looking at the new developments.
Discover Sheffield’s story through its buildings on this guided walk through the city centre. Led by local historian Anders Hanson, the walk explores how Sheffield grew from a small town in the foothills of the Pennines into a major city whose inventions and industry shaped the world, before becoming the modern city it is today. Along the way, it highlights a personal selection of buildings: some well known and architecturally significant, others less familiar, but all chosen for the part they play in showing how the city has grown and changed over the centuries.
Note: The tour will be approximately 90 minutes with an opportunity for a drink, some food and netwirking with fellow attendees at the end.
