Event Details:

Please join us for breakfast to understand what makes a place truly healthy - and what role can built environment professionals play in shaping it.

Join us for an engaging session exploring how we can design and deliver places that support health, wellbeing, and equity. Drawing on national and local data, policy drivers, and the priorities of the Sheffield Health & Wellbeing Board, we’ll unpack what “healthy places” really mean and why they matter now more than ever.

We will be joined by Susan Hird, Assistant Director of Public Health, and William Stewart, Director of Investment, Climate Change and Planning at Sheffield City Council who will share their vision, key challenges, and a direct call to action for fbe members.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clear understanding of what defines a healthy place

  • Insight into Sheffield’s health priorities

  • Practical ideas for how you and your organisation can make a difference

  • Connections with others who care about creating places that help people thrive

This will be enlightening for all built environment and health professionals across planning, design, development,  engineering, and beyond - anyone who influences how places are shaped.
