FBE CPD Library

Education-led learning for built environment professionals

The FBE CPD Library is a growing bank of educational sessions and resources designed to support professional development across the built environment. One clear standard runs through everything in it: education first, no sales pitches. Members can access content, recommend topics, or propose sessions they can deliver themselves.

What is the fbe CPD Library?

The FBE CPD Library is a structured, growing collection of learning resources built around topics members genuinely care about. It includes:

  • Recorded CPD sessions where available.

  • Slides and summary notes from fbe events and webinars.

  • Practical learning resources linked to fbe and fft activity.

  • CPD-style sessions delivered through events, webinars, and education-led content.

It is designed to be usable and searchable - not a dumping ground for sponsor content.

THE STANDARD: Education First

The CPD Library operates with one clear rule: education first, no sales pitch.

Branding is fine. Expertise is actively encouraged. But if content becomes promotional rather than educational, it won't be approved or retained as CPD library material. This protects the quality and integrity of the library and makes it something members can genuinely trust.

What topics will be covered?

  • Access CPD sessions and resources as part of membership.

  • Recommend topics that would add value to the library.

  • Propose sessions they can deliver - teaching from real experience.

  • Use CPD content as a reason to attend events and bring colleagues.

  • Salary trends and market activity.

  • Regulation updates and what they mean in practice.

  • Commercial and contractual risk.

Content will be prioritised around topics that are immediately relevant to practice. Examples include:

What Members can do

  • Procurement, delivery, and project performance.

  • Leadership, people, and productivity in the sector.

  • Practical technology use - not product demonstrations.

Members will help shape the topic list based on demand. If there's a subject you want covered, tell us.

How to contribute a session

We're actively looking for members who can teach from experience rather than pitch from a product sheet. If you want to contribute:

  • Propose your topic and the key learning outcomes.

  • Confirm you can deliver it as genuinely education-led content.

  • Agree what can be published in the library - recording, slides, or summary notes.

Get in touch and we'll talk you through the process.
