Manchester Nuclear Seminar

There were 90 people at the fbe recent Nuclear breakfast meeting at the Freemasons Hall who listened to the panel of 6 experts representing different aspects of the sector from;

• Costain
• URS Scott Wilson
• Magnox
• Currie and Brown
• Rolls Royce
• CBI

The event was Chaired by fbe President Phil Laycock and after initial presentations the panel were asked questions from the audience. The nuclear sector can be quite an intimidating sector for companies to enter into and the panel talked about the opportunities that exist for all size of companies in the sector. The event coincided with an announcement from the Government who have pledged their support for the sector and in this positive environment it was great to hear from so many people who are busy and can see a massive pipeline of work ahead of them. The nuclear and power sectors are clearly ones to get involved in at the present time.
