The annual Great Western Branch golf day was led under a deluge of rain by Terry Landgon of Gleeds (third from left) and last year's winner. He was accompanied left to right by Benet Robertson-Adams of Gleeds, Mike Henry ex King Sturge now teeing off for the first time under a JLL banner and Peter Ogden of Chelsea Building Society.
The day again was held at the ever hospitable Kendleshire Golf Club on the outskirts of Bristol. As you can see the weather was less than welcoming with all of the 52 golfers getting drenched at some point. This led to a particularly low scoring stableford competition between the 13 teams.
In the end the team prize was awarded to ISG Pearce, runners up were Hydrock and in third place Cowlin.
Richard Davis being presented with cup by Mark West of Hoare Lea former Chair of fbe Great Western Branch.
The fbe cup was presented to Richard Davis of Kier Group and who is currently vice chair on the regional committee. He will be joined with Trevor Essex of Cyril Sweett at the national championship in October. Our highest scoring guest was James Ford of Hoare Lea. Some of the prizes were sponsored and so our thanks go to Galliford Try, ISG and Spie Matthew Hall for their generosity.
Thanks also go out to all the supporters of this event and their guests and Phil Bevan of AWW Architects for his much appreciated help with the organisation and for hosting the prize giving.
Look out all other regions come the championship the duo from GWB are polishing their putters...
