Great Western Branch donate cheque to Lord Mayor of Bristol

The Forum for the Built Environment recently handed over a cheque for £3677.01 to the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Colin Smith at the Mansion House in Clifton Down.  The Lord Mayor was accompanied by David Powell, Co-Trustee of the Lord Mayor's Appeal.

The cheque was handed over by Mark West, the current Chairman of the Forum for the Built Environment's Great Western Branch.

The proceeds were raised at the annual Brunel Dinner which was attended by Lord and Lady Mayoress together with some 420 guests.

The Lord Mayor is Patron of or connected with hundreds of charities within Bristol and assists them as much as possible.

Every year, the Lord Mayor's Appeal for Children helps hundreds of children in Bristol with vouchers for food, toys and clothing.

The Forum for the Built Environment is an organisation which brings together all the main disciplines in the construction industry including Architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and lawyers.  It is a national organisation and the Great Western Branch is the largest of its 12 Regions with over 300 members.
