Birmingham Branch - Re-launch 2012

Those of you who attended this morning's Birmingham Branch Breakfast will have heard the news that Will Evans has decided to step down from his role as Branch Chairman as of Friday 16th December 2011.

I am sure that you will all join me in thanking Will for his hard work and dedication over the last 2-3 years in this position and we wish him all the best for the future.

The board of Director's have agreed that until a suitable replacement is found to Chair the Branch, that our National President Phil Laycock will be acting Chairman in this interim period.

As West Midlands Regional Director, I see this as an ideal opportunity to re-launch the branch in 2012, and as such we will be looking to form a new committee as soon as possible in the new year and this process will start as soon as we return to business in January. I hope you all agree that this is the start of a new era for Fbe in Birmingham, and I am really looking forward to an exciting year for the branch in 2012.

We already have secured some excellent speakers for Q1 namely, Ian Wright MP - Shadow Construction Minister, Mark Barrow - Strategic Development Director at BCC, Alan Charters, Director of Capital Developments at Aston University and Neil Vicker, Senior Procurement Manager at The MOJ.

If you would like to be part of this, and feel that you have the commitment to some hard work and dedication to develop the branch and would wish to register your interest for the new committee please either contact myself or Phil Laycock at:
